CFO's Who Lead With A Plan, Not Just Your Tax Return

We help individual and family businesses build lasting wealth through forward-looking financial leadership with the accounting and tax team built in.

About Us

You Get Your Own CFO

While Other Firms Only Occassionally give advice

IIn a traditional accounting firm, a tax professional leads the relationship and advisory work is added when a client asks for it.

We are built the other way around. A CFO leads every engagement and sets the plan, and our accounting and tax specialists work underneath that plan to execute it.

FAQ's

frequently asked questions

Explore our faqs or reach out to understand how our financial guidance works.

How is this different from what my accountant already does?

Your accountant reports on what happened and files what's required, and both matter. A CFO works on what hasn't happened yet — where your cash will be, whether a decision is affordable, what the business is worth and what would raise that number. The two roles use the same numbers for different purposes. Most owners have the first and not the second, and the gap shows up as decisions made on instinct because the information arrived too late to inform them.

Why not just hire a full-time CFO?

A full-time CFO at this level costs well into six figures before benefits, and most businesses between $2 million and $10 million don't have enough CFO-level work to justify it. Fractional means you get the seniority without the salary, at the frequency the work actually requires. If your business grows to where a full-time CFO makes sense, that's a good outcome, and the systems we build transfer to them.

How long before I see anything useful?

The first phase is establishing that the numbers can be relied on, which can take a few weeks depending on the state of the accounting. Most owners get their first genuinely new information — a forward cash position, or a margin problem they hadn't quantified — within the first month or two. Structural work like exit preparation is measured in quarters and years, not weeks.

What if my books are a mess?

That's common and it's not a reason to wait. It's usually the first thing we address, because a plan built on unreliable data is worse than no plan. Since accounting sits inside our firm rather than at a separate provider, correcting it is part of the engagement rather than something you have to arrange elsewhere first.

Do I have to leave my current accountant?

Not necessarily. Some clients keep an existing relationship for compliance work while we handle financial leadership. Others find it simpler to bring everything under one roof once the plan is driving the accounting and tax work. We'd rather talk through your specific situation than push a structure you don't want.

What does an engagement actually cost?

It depends on the size of the business and the scope of the work, and we quote it after understanding both. What we can tell you is that it's a fraction of a full-time CFO and that we'll be direct about whether the work will pay for itself. If we don't think it will, we'll say so.
